Byron Bay Eco Cruises – This Christmas we recommend shopping local services and locally made products

Low Carbon Christmas ideas

We're not fans of Christmas promotion starting in October but that's what's already happening in the shopping world so we thought we'd better divert your attention from buying more 'stuff' that often people don't need to supporting local services, particularly tourism businesses as they continue to be severely impacted by Covid-19 travel restrictions.  It's always been a great way to reduce your emissions but this year it's more important than ever to spend your Christmas money locally to help your friends and neighbours.

We saw Francesca Hart's "Good News Story" that she posted on Facebook yesterday and thought we'd amplify her recommendation of Byron Bay Eco Cruises:

Had the pleasure of taking in the sunset on the Brunswick River with Simon and Lorriane of Byron Bay Eco Cruises. An environmental scientist and long time local, Simon's wealth of knowledge of the river, its ecosystem, plants and animals was inspiring!
Once again I was reminded of the beauty of the place we live, our wondrous natural environment, our salt of the earth locals, hard working small businesses and great ecotourism - worth supporting and cherishing!
Thanks for sharing Francesca!
