RePlant Byron

RePlant Byron aims to plant 1.8 million trees in Byron Shire by 2025. That’s about 300,000 trees a year.
RePlant Byron will record and document the planting and preservation that has already happened Byron Shire.
We assist and actively encourage the planting and preservation of native vegetation by other groups and individuals.

RePlant Byron will create a model that can be replicated anywhere. We hope to lead by example.

Why plant trees at all?
We are RePlanting Byron Shire because trees have the ability to remove and store significant amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere. Trees also provide shade, and help to make our air clean.
Carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, is a major contributor to global heating.

When will RePlant Byron start?
RePlant Byron has started!  In June 2019 Zero Emissions Byron received a donation of $50,000. From this we created our model. The first planting is happening 26 October 2019.

How do I make a contribution to RePlant Byron?
For sponsors and supporters, please go to www.zerobyron.org/donate/
ZEB deposits funds into a special account applied to RePlant.

When I make a donation, how will it help?
When we have matched donations with our assessment of land type for planting, RePlant then organises to plant and/or maintain the trees.

So, think about this.
When you make a contribution, you will help reduce global heating and make the air clean.

From your donation to help plant trees, you may wish to receive any of the following:
Tax deduction
Gift certificate
Receipt
RePlant News Updates
Acknowledgement in ZEB Annual Review

Where else will RePlant get funding from?
We will apply for all appropriate grants.
We will crowd-fund.
