Beyond Zero Emissions
In May 2015, the (then) Director of Think Tank BZE, met the Mayor of Byron Shire, and devised the concept of establishing the shire as a demo site showing others how one community could reduce its emissions to zero in 10 years. There are now nearly 100 ‘Zero Communities’ around Australia. ZEB is the first.

Sustain Northern Rivers
Sustain Northern Rivers is a collaborative partnership between 26 organisations (Councils, government, educational and community groups) formed in 2008 to act cooperatively to take action to mitigate and adapt to climate change at the regional level. ZEB has a board member represented on the Energy working group.
