Flood Resilient Flooring options
Every flooded home owner now knows what flooring was flood resilient and what wasn't. JDA Co, our primary source of information on rebuilding flood resilient, recommend two floor applications: polished concrete and tiles.
Tiles need to be laid with water resistant glues and grout. Mullum Cares is looking for tilers who have capacity to assist locals wanting to replace carpets and retile wet areas to assist the growing list of people signing up to rebuild flood resilient. Please share this call out with any tilers you know might be inspired to be one of the few stepping up to help people stop insurers replacing like-for-like and setting our communities up for future catastrophe.
An amazing offer has been received from a local business to supply natural stone tiles at cost price to flood affected residents in the region. Contact Sherrie Slate & Tiles via her facebook page or contact Sasha at getfloodready@mullumcares.com.au if you don't do facebook.
