ProspER Northern Rivers Energy Roundtable success
Zero Emissions Byron was represented by Chair Anne Stuart at the Business NSW Energy
Roundtable on 01 August, along with representatives from Waterview Consulting (previously Enova
Energy), Prime Energy, Southern Cross University, ENV Solutions, SDG Align, Cape Byron Power,
Boost My Business, DPI&RD, Rainbow Power Company, Bilgan Environmental, Jagun Alliance and the
NSW Reconstruction Authority.
A key part of ProspER is to develop the Northern Rivers Economic and Environment Plan to 2040.
As a NSW Government election commitment initiative, led by Business NSW, and in partnership with
Southern Cross University and the Northern Rivers NSW brand, ProspER includes representatives
from all Northern Rivers local governments, Tenterfield Shire, First Nations communities, and
younger community members.
The Energy Roundtable on 01 August discussed regional insights and current barriers and hurdles to
energy – particularly renewable energy, that underpins environmental and economic development.
The group spent time brainstorming and tackling those issues and opportunities for our future, with
the aim to plot out a plan to 2040 with Foundational Actions, Programs of Support and Catalyst
Projects. The project completion timeframe is December 2025.
